Benson approves purchase of roll-off truck and six containers

NY BENSON — Benson Town Board unanimously approves roll-off truck and container purchase. The board voted 5-0 to adopt Resolution No. 53-26 authorizing the equipment purchase for a new transfer station operation. Supervisor Phil Snyder said he consulted with Hamilton County's attorney on regulatory requirements and checked the Town Barn property for temporary placement.
The board plans to schedule a public hearing before adopting permanent operating policies. Councilperson Lori Mead requested detailed cost analysis, while Supervisor Snyder indicated the town has outgrown its current barn and is considering construction of a new facility.
