Benson approves air compressor, places $75,000 grant in CD

NY BENSON — Benson Town Board approves equipment purchases and moves to secure grant funds. Supervisor Phil Snyder reported the records room has been completed and is ready for file cabinet installation. The board unanimously approved Resolution No. 47-26 authorizing Highway Superintendent Mike Palmer to purchase a new air compressor for the highway department.
The board also approved placement of a $75,000 grant from a 2017 project into a three-month certificate of deposit at 3.4 percent annual interest, with Councilperson Ron Blowers absent.
