Benson establishes 2026 procedures, appoints deputies and officials

NY BENSON — Benson Town Board adopts 37 organizational resolutions for 2026. The five-member board unanimously approved procedures for the year, including appointments of Deputy Supervisor Ronald Blowers, Deputy Highway Superintendent William Gereau, and Deputy Town Clerk Elizabeth Van Epps, each at $20 per hour when performing emergency duties. Town Historian Lori Mead, Code Enforcement Officer Anthony Fancher, and Town Attorney Heidi Gifford (at $250 per hour) were also appointed.
Highway Department part-time and seasonal workers will earn state minimum wage up to $25 per hour. Regular monthly meetings are set for the third Tuesday at 6:30 PM. ===BRIEF===
